The handesigner Giovanni Scafuro

Another nice find while wondering around, this time in Milan, was the little showroom of Giovanni Scafuro, in a pretty courtyard in Via Montevideo 4, in the design district. 

Giovanni uses cutlery and porcelains to make pretty objects of all kind. 

Amongst quite a lot of people who take themselves too seriously in Milan, the 'handesigner' Giovanni shows in his handcraft a joyful sense of humor together with a passion for old objects with a story and skilled handicrafts. My photos are not great because I was in a hurry and there wasn't enough light for my photographic skills, so please have a look at his website to see more and better.

Un'altra interessante scoperta fatta durante i miei peregrinamenti, questa volta a Milano, e' il piccolo studio di Giovanni Scafuro a Via Montevideo 4, nel distretto del design. 

Giovanni usa prevalentemente posate e porcellane e gli da nuova vita.

In mezzo a tanta gente che si prende troppo sul serio, l''handesigner' Giovanni dimostra un gioiosa leggerezza del vivere, nonchè una passione per oggetti che hanno una storia e uno spiccato talento artigiano. Le mie foto non sono una granchè - ero di fretta e non c'era abbastanza luce per le mie capacità fotofrafiche- quindi andate a visitare il sito per vedere meglio è di più.
