Calico wallpaper

What can you do if you are stuck at home because of a hurricane alert? It doesn't happen in Rome, if I'm to be honest, but I know that a number of my followers live in areas where this is a real threat.

Most people baton down the hatches and ride out the storm; Rachel and Nick Cope decided  to use that strained confinement to experiment with the antique Japanese and Turkish techniques of making and coloring used paper.

The result is Calico, an amazing marble effect wallpaper (named after the spotted cat's coat) that fits perfectly into this new marble mania in the world of interiors. I particularly like the golden and white version, it lights up the room with its sparkle and looks luxurious. And the good news is that it costs 32 dollars a square foot. 

Che fare se si è confinati a casa a causa di un allarme urugano? Devo dire, non succede a Roma (per ora) ma so che è un pericolo reale in aree dove molti dei miei lettori vivono.

Molte persone si preparerebbero per il peggio, Rachel and Nick Cope hanno deciso invece di sperimentare questa restrizione forzata per sperimentare antiche tecniche Giapponesi e Turche di colorazione e manifattura di carta usata. 
Il risultato è Calico, un incredibile carta da parati effetto marmo (chiamato come il manto a chiazze del gatto) che si inserisce perfettamente in questa recente mania nel mondo degli interni per i marmi. Mi piace particolarmente la versione dorata e bianca, illumina la stanza con la sua brillantezza,ha un aspetto lussuoso. E la buona notizia è che costa solo 32 dollari a metro quadro.
