This year the Panton Colors of the Year are Rose Quartz 13-1520 and Serenity 15-3919 (click here to see the 2014 Radiant Orchid, and here to read about the Panton Queen's Color Guide ).
The reason for this choice is expressed on the Pantone website: "as consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern
day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning
for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined
together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance
between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue,
reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order
and peace."
I am really fond of pale pink and I often use it in my projects for walls.
To celebrate these tender colors (even if they picked two colors which makes me think they couldn't agree on one) I want to publish a photo from House and Garden I have had in my archive for ages and I love.

La ragione di questa scelta è espressa sul sito Pantone:
"come consumatori siamo alla ricerca della consapevolezza e del benessere come antidoto al stress quotidiano moderno, colori accoglienti che soddisfano la nostra bramosia di rassicurazione e sicurezza stanno diventando sempre più diffusi. Insieme, Rose Quartz e Serenity, mostrano un intriseco equilibrio fra un più caldo ed avvolgente tono di rosa ed un più freddo e tranquillo blu, riflettendo connessione e benessere come anche un confortante senso di ordine e pace" (traduzione mia).
Sono molto affezionata al rosa pallido che spesso uso nei miei progetti.
Per celebrare questi due colori (anche se il fatto che ne abbiano scelti due mi fa pensare che non riuscissero a mettersi daccordo) voglio pubblicare una foto presa da House & Garden che ho in archivio da tanto tempo.
