Urban Jungle Bloggers: #Plants & Glass

Welcome to April!

This month the challenge for the Urban Jungle Bloggers green community is "Plants & Glass".

It was quite interesting taking some pictures yesterday with my son Giulio at home with chickenpox, keen to play with me after having spent all day with the babysitter. 

He wanted to work as a stylist and kept putting is toys around the plants hence the giraffe in one of the pictures. 

For this shoot I used a 1950's ice bucket that I generally use a toothbrushes container and a little jar I bought at Porta Portese market in Rome. 

If you want to achieve the same  see-through effect you can also get some plexy-glass pots, like the one I have in my bedroom; they are lighter and they don't break as easily. 

The little octagonal table comes from Morocco, I took it back in my rucksack a few years ago!

The concrete tiles are from Mosaic der Sur.

Il nuovo stimolo di questo mese per per la comunità verde di Urban Jungle Bloggers è "Piante e vetro". 

E' stato decisamente interessante fare le fotografie ieri con Giulio a casa con la varicella e ben voglioso di giocare dopo aver passato buona parte della giornata con la babysitter. 

Voleva fare lo stylist e continuava a mettere giocattoli attorno alle piante, motivo per cui c'è una giraffa di plastica in una delle foto. 

Per questo servizio, ho usato un cestello del ghiaccio degli anni Cinquanta che di solito uso come porta spazzolini e una piccola caraffa che ho comprato a Porta Portese. 

Se vuoi ottenere lo stesso effetto 'vedo-non-vedo' puoi anche prendere dei vasi in plexyglass, come quello che ho nella mia camera da letto; sono più leggeri e non si rompono. 

Il piccolo tavolo ottagonale viene dal Marocco, l'ho portato indietro nello zaino!

Le cementine sono di Mosaic del Sur.
