African inspired bathroom

I am over the moon! 

+deco is going through a restyling and it is becoming a website!

It was in fact about time to take a step forward and technically improve the interface of +deco in order to make the interface easier for the ever growing number of readers!

I have so many ideas in mind and a load of projects for the blog, including a competition but let's take one step at a time. 

Today I wanted to show you this little African inspired bathroom  by the LA based interior designer Amber Lewis. 

In order to achieve an African look you need the following elements:

-black

-african inspired patterns or design

-earthy colours

-plants 

-african inspired textiles.

Amber Lewis went for the full look and in fact when renovating the bathroom of her new office and retail space she used all the above elements.

The geometrical designed wallpaper is Mali from Amber's collection. On the other wall she used long and thin tiles that she painted in glossy black. The golden faucets are from Kohler. 

The wooden chest of drawers, the wooden round mirror, the pots and baskets insert an earthy colour. The beautifully textiled rug injects colour and texture. Two plants (that I am not sure are going to have a long life to be honest) and two cacti complete the look. 

Sono stra-felice! 

+deco si sta rifacendo il look e diventerà presto un sito!

E' ora di fare un passo avanti e migliorare tecincamente l'interfaccia di +deco per renderne più facile la fruizione e perchè sia più funzionale per i sempre crescenti lettori.

Ho molte nuove idee e tanti progetti per il blog (incluso un concorso) ma diamo tempo al tempo. 

Oggi volevo farvi vedere questa bagno ispirato all' Africa fatto da Amber Lewis,  interior designer di stanza a Los Angeles. 

Se vuoi ottenere un look africano, hai bisogno dei seguenti elementi: 

-nero

-motivi o disegni ispirati all'Africa

-colori della terra

-piante

-tessuti di ispirazione africana.

Amber Lewis ha optato per tutto il pacchetto e di fatti, nel rinnovare il bagno del suo nuovo ufficio e negozio, ha usato tutti gli elementi elencati qui sopra. 

La carta da pareti con disegni geometrici bianchi è Mali dalla collezione di arredi di Amber.  Sull'altro muro, ha usato piastrelle lunghe e sottili pitturate con vernice lucida nera. I rubinetti dorati sono di Kohler. 

La cassettiera di legno, lo specchio tondo e i vasi e cesti introducono i colori della terra. Il tappeto con quella bella trama inietta colore. Le piante (che secondo me lì non hanno vita lunga) e i due cactus completano il look.
